Wigwam Reconstruction

Kenny and his helpers rebuilt a traditional Native American home, also known as a wigwam, that was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.

They took the old wigwam down and began planning a new one. With permission, they cut down 60 invasive Norway Maple saplings in the local park and bent those saplings so they dried in that form. The saplings were covered in a waterproof paint that will protect them from rotting. Kenny and his helpers then lashed them all together and put a cover over it made of canvas, which is able to withstand storms and hurricanes.
