Patrick and his helpers removed a broken manual feeder from the Greater Kudu mixed-species exhibit at Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens (Zoo Miami) and designed, built and installed a new, more efficient feeding system. The previous feeder was outdated and no longer functional, making it difficult for the animals to access food.
The new design improves durability, ease of use and accessibility, helping ensure that the species in the exhibit receive proper nutrition. This upgrade enhances animal welfare while also improving efficiency for zookeepers in their daily care routines.
