Callen and his helpers built 25 monofilament fishing line recycling stations for the Plainfield Park District. The first six stations were installed at canoe launches and popular fishing ponds, while the remaining units will be used for future installations and replacements.
These stations give anglers a convenient place to dispose of used fishing line, helping prevent wildlife entanglement and reducing pollution in local waterways. The project supports cleaner parks and protects aquatic habitats for the entire community.
