Built New Children’s Reading Hub

Benjamin and his helpers collaborated with Antonio A. Maceda Elementary School in Sampaloc, Manila City, Philippines, to establish a children’s reading hub. The project aimed to address the widespread issue of low reading literacy among Filipino children. Benjamin led a successful book donation drive, collecting over 1,000 books to fill the new reading hub. With guidance from his scout mentor and the support of his scoutmaster and school principal, they also built bookshelves, added furniture, and incorporated educational games to create a child-friendly and vibrant learning space.

The reading hub was officially opened on May 22, 2024, with a ceremony attended by the Mayor of Manila, who emphasized the importance of reading for personal development.
