Aidan noticed that a small baseball field near his home in Adams, N.Y., was in bad shape and couldn’t be used safely. Aidan approached the village of Adams and asked if he could rebuild the infield and backstop to make them safe and playable for kids.
With help from an engineer and the South Jefferson Little League Baseball Association, Aidan redesigned the ball diamond so the field could be used for “minor” little league baseball games. Aidan, his family, Scouts and friends spent 200 hours excavating and building the diamond, pitching mound and backstop.
The South Jefferson Little League was thrilled to have the ball diamond back in excellent condition! You can learn more about Aidan’s project at https://www.scouttroop586.com/aidan-race
