Built Accessible Gardens for Seniors

Caolyn led the effort to build three senior-accessible flowerbeds for the Lakeland Tennessee Senior Center. The project benefited the Lakeland Gardening Club as they prepared for their spring/summer planting. The senior center’s previous gardening space set-up made it challenging for some elderly participants to interact with the plants, as they were lower to the ground. The building and installation of accessible gardening beds allowed participants to comfortably sit or stand at the boxes for planting or watering.
