Janiya and her helpers worked to restore an overgrown flower garden on the corner of an American Legion Post property in her neighborhood. The garden had become overrun with weeds, old plants, poison ivy and thick English ivy vines that were choking two trees.
The team cleared the area, removed the unwanted vegetation and reclaimed the space. They added fresh topsoil, built a small retaining wall at the corner of the garden and planted a variety of perennials and annuals requested by the beneficiary, transforming the neglected area into a welcoming and well-maintained garden.
