Collected Clothing for Those in Need

Ethan and his helpers partnered with Closet2Closet, Christian Care and One Eighty to gather clothing donations for foster children and individuals experiencing homelessness, addressing the Quad Cities’ clothing crisis. His initiative gained recognition from local news outlets, and community members nominated him for the Pay It Forward Award, sponsored by Acentra Credit Union.

Through two clothing drives and additional contributions from a local church and Scout council, they collected more than 2,000 items of clothing for the organizations.

Thanks to the community’s generous support, they also raised over $900, enabling them to purchase 594 pairs of socks and 342 pairs of underwear for Closet2Closet and Christian Care. The entire project, from planning to completion, accumulated 181 hours of service.
