Joaquin and his helpers built a Little Free Library with an attached bench at Anton Schumann Park in Converse, Texas. Joaquin enjoys reading and wanted to promote literacy and sharing within the community. He carefully selected a space under a large oak tree that would provide shade and natural protection from the elements. He then worked with City Public Works to ensure it would be a safe place to dig and install the cedar. After months of planning and three full days of work, the library and bench were complete. At a dedication ceremony, the library was unveiled to the City of Converse and people donated books to fill it.
