Drake’s Eagle Scout Project, which supported the 2024 National Veterans Golden Age Games, was honored as the Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year for the Wasatch Peaks District. The event took place at the Salt Lake City Palace in Utah on August 24, 2024. For his project, which had a meaningful impact on veterans across the country, Drake was tasked with creating 60 poles to serve as signs for the opening ceremony of the games. These poles will also be used for the 2025 NVGAG in Memphis. In addition to this, Drake organized a full-day tennis practice for veteran athletes and helped with the opening ceremony parade, alongside fellow scouts from Troop 1444.
