Donovan and his helpers designed and constructed a zen garden at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Va., where he is a senior. Situated adjacent to the library, this garden was envisioned by Donovan as a space accessible to everyone, providing students and staff a serene environment to enhance their mental well-being through time spent in nature. The project includes three raised garden beds (one of which is accessible), a rock garden and a hammock. Additionally, the initiative aimed to improve the courtyard’s aesthetic with native plants, offering a tranquil spot for relaxation and enjoyment.
