Cooper and his helpers developed a process for taking geotagged photos and documenting veterans buried in public cemeteries. Through his project, 85 volunteers contributed more than 800 service hours, including 190 hours from Cooper, to document 6,850 veterans in five cemeteries. The process has since been used to complete nine additional cemeteries, with 10 more planned for spring 2026 and verbal commitments from 20 states. Discussions are also underway with the Department of Veterans Affairs to add the data to the Veterans Legacy Memorial website.
