Created ‘Sea The Impact’ Sculpture

Shraven and his helpers designed and built a 7-foot whale sculpture made entirely from marine debris collected during a beach cleanup at Bolsa Chica State Beach in California. More than 40 volunteers helped remove over 100 pounds of trash, which became the raw material for the artwork. Shraven engineered a metal framework and used a 3D CAD model to shape the sculpture, funding the project by organizing church fundraisers and a GoFundMe that raised more than $500.

The completed sculpture is now permanently displayed at the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, where it reaches thousands of visitors each year. Serving as both a warning and a symbol of hope, the whale highlights the impact of plastic pollution while showing how community action, creativity and engineering can turn an environmental problem into a powerful message.
