Jacob and his team of Scouts, leaders and volunteers built a prayer garden for his parish and grade school in honor of their 100th anniversary. This project coincided with Saint Francis of Assisi’s remodeling of their chapel for the centennial celebration. Jacob used an unused grass area near the school and church to create a 500-square-foot prayer garden, planted with perennials and bushes. The garden includes a mulch pathway leading to a bench constructed by the team, a mulched section along the parking lot for additional flowers, and some existing bushes that were pruned and incorporated into the garden. The space also features a statue of St. Francis and a bird feeder for visitors to enjoy.
